Overview
A centralized application hub provides users with access to various applications, allowing them to create accounts and request specific applications suited to their needs. The platform also includes resources and support for new users to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
This project involved:
- Documenting the previous user flow and designing a new, improved flow
- Designing both internal and external application catalogs
- Developing request modals for different functions
- Refining the sign-in and account creation process
- Ensuring consistency through a designated design system library
Challenge
The previous version of the system had usability and responsiveness issues, leading to confusion during the application request process. Users found it difficult to navigate, and inconsistencies in design elements contributed to a fragmented experience. Addressing these issues required the implementation of a design library to standardize UI components, improve adaptability, and create a more intuitive user journey.
Solution
To improve the application portal, we focused on enhancing user-friendliness and responsiveness. The user interface was redesigned with a clean and intuitive layout, making navigation more seamless and reducing friction in the application request process. A responsive design was implemented to ensure that users could easily access the portal across different devices without compromising functionality. To maintain consistency, a design system library was integrated, standardizing UI components and interactions.
Additionally, the application catalog was revamped to enable users to explore available applications effortlessly. Request modals were designed to streamline interactions, making it easier for users to submit and manage their application requests. Lastly, the sign-in and account creation process was optimized to ensure a smooth onboarding experience, reducing barriers to entry and improving overall engagement. These improvements resulted in a cohesive and user-centric platform that enhanced efficiency and usability.

Key Highlights
Outcome
The redesigned application hub significantly improved user engagement and ease of access. By addressing previous pain points, the new system provided a more intuitive, efficient, and visually cohesive experience. The streamlined user flow and enhanced responsiveness contributed to higher user satisfaction and adoption rates.
